Help combat climate change with Landcare Australia (+ giveaway!) *closed*

Keep reading to find out how you can win an Eco Forensics Lab!

logo Landcare Week runs from 6th to 13th September and Landcare Australia is giving every Australian the opportunity to help scientists across the globe study the impact of climate change on our ecosystems by monitoring, collecting and recording data from their own backyards.

You can register for free to become a citizen scientist by going to www.landcareonline.com.au and help by observing and recording what is happening in your own environment such as when the frogs are calling, what birds are migrating and what plants are flowering.

The data gathered will then help scientists understand what seasonal variations are occurring around Australia with our animals and plants.

Thanks to Landcare, we received a Citizen Scientist’s pack so Giorgia and Annabelle can be “planet saving detectives”. I’ll be blogging about their adventure soon.

This looks like a little bit of educational fun and those hats are going to be very necessary in the not too distant future….although it feels like winter has been forever!

Oh this would be so much fun to do with my Grandchildren, they are always asking Nana to do "experiments" with them…..at times I run short on ideas. Being a Landcare kit it would not only satisfy their eagerness to try a new experiment it would also teach them how important it is to save the planet.

Brilliant idea! My son is sooooo angry they have cleared all the trees for a new housing estate he shakes his fist at the bulldozers every time we drive past.

He would love to feel he is able to do something to "fix" the situation, and help my homeschooling (lackof) ability!

I would so love to win this as we are currently setting up a sensory garden for my two girls. I've been spending lots of time explaining to the girls why we need to select native plants, why we need a compost bin and water tank. An eco forensics kit would really be the cherry on top for my girls.
