Why is there a turtle in our front yard?

Never a dull moment at Chez Gray!

Bill and I looked out the front window to see William, one of his friends and his friends’ mum run across our front yard. Wondering what was going on, we were about to go outside when William comes inside and says “Why is there a turtle in our front yard?!”

Thinking he was joking, Bill went out there and sure enough, comes back inside holding a turtle.

We don’t know where it come from or where it was going!

Thinking it might have been looking for water, Bill took it out the back to our pond, jumped on Google to find out what turtles eat and promptly said “Oh shit! It’s going to eat my fish!”

So now our pond has a “fish section” and a “turtle section”.

Should I tell Bill that when I checked the turtle (who has been christened “Swimmy”) this morning, that I found it trying to climb in to visit the fishies?

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. Secret: I still have to think for a second to figure which is a turtle and which is a tortoise… twelve years of private education right there!

yeah, I have no idea what the difference is either. They're all turtles to me unless someone corrects me!

Isn't he cute?! And I'm happy to say that he's still living at Chez Gray! I thought he'd end up just moving on.
