What do I need to look for before buying life insurance?
When looking for life insurance it isn’t all about price, that is important, but you really do get what you pay for.You need a product with a well established Life insurance company. Please don’t by cover from one of the company’s advertising on TV.
It is best to have an idea as to what you want to cover, what your priorities are. For example, clear all debts upon death or permanent disability, leave money to cover the kids education, cover the loss of income etc. It is helpful to have a budget in mind, for example the absolute maximum that you are prepared to commit to the purchase of insurance.
Why would I want to use an insurance broker?
The main reason for using a broker such as myself is the service, the knowledge and experience that we bring to the table. There is a lot of study and work that goes into ensuring that we are up to date with the latest. You as a client for example, cannot be expected to know the ins and outs of every product from every insurer in the market. Why would you do the running around and have to become an expert when you can use a broker?

I do not charge a fee for my service. The costs are covered by the insurance company if and when the application is accepted. If you don’t proceed, I don’t get paid!

A school dad is an insurance broker so we organised our insurance through him. When man-child shattered his elbow playing basketball, we didn't even think of insurance but we ran into the broker in the school yard and he made the claim for us, awesome service.
