If you are a regular reader of TGDM, you will KNOW that there is A LOT of squealing going on in Chez Gray right now, not only because Celtic Thunder have finally released the dates for their Australian tour but because they are coming to Wollongong!

For those of you that have not had the pleasure of discovering Celtic Thunder yet, they were formed in 2008 and comprise of five diverse performers who are each a powerhouse in both their solo and ensemble songs.

Sharon Browne, the creator of Celtic Thunder says “My concept for Celtic Thunder was to feature real men of different ages from Ireland and Scotland. The guys – Emmet Cahill, Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly, George Donaldson and Neil Byrne — are a real range of Celts.”

And nice eye candy as well. *ahem*

The group is backed by the dynamic Celtic Thunder Band and their shows are known for the use of dramatic effects of lighting and choreography as well as a stage set resembling an ancient stone pathway suggestive of those referenced in Celtic lore.

Oh, and guys, you don’t miss out! The Celtic women in the band are absolutely gorgeous! Winking smile

The guys came to Australia back in March for a promo tour and Keith Harkin said “We are blown away by the reaction to Celtic Thunder in Australia.  We had such a great welcome when we were out there in March for promo so we can’t wait to get back, and bring The Show out on the road and meet our Aussie fans”.

Mariel November 4, 2011 at 12:48 pm

Oh Tina! I ‘may’ very well be on the way to becoming a crazed fan ;) I want Celtic Thunder’s Aussie concerts to SELL OUT then they’re sure to come back to us again. One tour will DEFINITELY not be enough for me. Everyone should listen to Celtic Thunder at their YouTube Channel. Millions of views so far so visitors there obviously love what they see and hear. I love all of the guys, but our “Guitar God” aka Neil Byrne is a total sweetheart. Listen to him on Neil Byrne Official YouTube Channel singing “Make Me Feel Your Love” acoustic version – just Neil – and his guitar – exactly the way we love him. I guarantee it’ll make you SWOON! His newly released CD “Faces” Pale Blue Jak, is amazing and is soooooo Neil! Can’t recommend it enough!!!
