Lake Illawarra | JAN 2012

Some days the lake smells and looks grey and gloomy, and on other days, it’s just divine. One of my favourite things to do is go for a walk along the lake at sunset. That’s when it looks the prettiest.

Love going for walks by Lake Illawarra…so nice! Love that the path goes almost all the way around…I could probably walk over to you Tina! lol. Good fishing too.

It DOES almost go right around. We should experiment one day :)

Beautiful photos Tina! A walk along the lake at sunset sounds very relaxing (unless, like me, you have a bunch of small kids in tow, threatening to jump/fall in and you are stressed) lol

It's not often that we get to go without at least one little kidlet with us!

Lovely photos, especially the sunset ones. Wish I had a lake nearby to walk along. The creek over our back fence is just not the same…. or the highway.

We're lucky that this lake is kinda smack bang in the middle of the Illawarra so it's easily accessible from quite a few suburbs for afternoon walks :)

all so pretty, but I think the one with the dock is my fav.

It's almost right in the middle of the Illawarra so no matter where you live, you can walk part of it. It looks the prettiest at sunset :)

There's a picnic table and seats right next to that jetty. There's been times when I've grabbed a notebook and pen and that has been my "office" for the day :)
